Last Friday (holy wow! almost a week between posts again. Sorry I'll try and get back into the blogging groove again) I ventured into Southbank for a few hours. As you might expect my camera made the journey with me.
My ultra wide angle got a bit of a workout during this little trip let me tell you! Of course I couldn't just take one photo so I thought I'd share a few of my favorites from my little Southbank adventure.
The beach chairs (pictured below) are dotted around the Southbank grassy areas giving people a place to have a load off and watch the world go by for a while. All for free! A stellar idea in my opinion.
As I was lounging on the beach chairs indulging in a bit of people watching I happened to look up and notice the fading sun peaking through the canopy of palm branches. I couldn't resist snapping the pure perfect moment.
The casino is lit up like a rainbow at the moment. It changes regularly (for instance it gets lit up in pink on breast cancer awareness month). So you can always get a different looking photo even if you're standing in the exact same spot.
If I am fortunate enough to get into the photography course next year I'll get to spend lots of my time in the beautiful surrounds of Southbank. Sounds magnificent to me!
