I ventured out this afternoon with the goal of capturing a lovely sunset. But when I got in my car I looked at the stormy, heavily overcast sky and knew my idea wouldn't work out too well. That will teach me to look at the weather forecast before I go out to take photos. Fortunately I managed to capture the sun peaking out through the clouds.
Image taken 20 October 2011This picture reminds me of some of the spectacular scenes I saw when I visited England last year. The blue mountain ridge is so stunning and the smallest touch of sunlight balances the image quite nicely. What do you think?
