Yahoo! Sticking to my goal so far and posting on time. Well actually I wrote this post yesterday because I got myself all confused at thought Sunday was Monday. I realized my mistake just in time and implemented the handy scheduling feature blogger provides. Maybe that's the secret to staying on top of my regular posts hey? I don't think I'm that organized though.
This week's photo comes via a website I pore over - We Heart It. There are so many pretty images and I like it that they offer a link back to the original source. Well, anyway on one of my recent visits and just had to share!
I love this picture! The way the railway lines lead you into the image and how the photographer just managed to capture a really great moment. Plus I simply adore the way the sun lights up the balloon. Simply magical It had inspired me to try and capture an image like this as part of project 365... I just need a willing participant!
Until next time I hope whatever may be happening in your world you still manage to find a little bit of whimsy.

I Want A Epiphanie!
A fellow blogger mentioned these beautiful bags in a recent post. (Check out her blog) Ever since I have fallen in love with these wonderful, stylish camera bags. One in particular has caught my eye. The ever so lovely Paris bag (of course I have to like the most expensive one!). I like it in purple.

This bag can hold a laptop, a camera with lens attached, two extra lenses and a multitude of odds and ends. It also has a removable cross-body strap with padding with extra support (it is AMAZING how heavy my camera kit gets after a while).
Plus it is just so pretty! I mean no one would ever know you're hauling around hundreds of dollars worth of kit just by looking at it. I could take it to a wedding or out to a nice dinner without looking frumpy.
In short I really want a Paris Epiphanie! But I am faced with a few questions. One: Can I really afford it? I'm crunching figures like crazy to see if I can squeeze it into my budget. Two: Is this where I want my 'camera money' to go next? You see there's always a lens I want to get, or an accessory that I think I might need, and don't even get me started on my burning desire to explore instant photography and film medium. My point is there is always something I want to add to my kit on the horizon. I suppose the question is: Where does this bag rank? I'm just trying to figure out the answer.
It is such a beautiful bag... I'll let you know if I ever make a decision!

Project 365 - Day Thirty-Nine
Open to yet another day of feeling sick. I am feeling worse actually because the sniffles have started. Yep I have a full-blown (pardon the pun) cold in the middle of summer. Yuck! This of course meant it was another at home day for me. What did I do to entertain myself you may ask. Why I roast marshmallows of course. All you need is a match, marshmallows, and soaked skewers (I undertook this task outside Mum. I promise!). Seemed like a perfect photo for project 365 to me.
Plus these photo had the added bonus of a nice, gooey treat after. Yummy. I think it looks pretty.
In other news I'm trying to figure out my goals for 2011. Do you have any particular goals for this year? I'd love to know.

Project 365 - Day Thirty-Eight
I decide to start 2011 off on the right foot and that meant one thing. A photography adventure! In my opinion there is simply nothing better than fantastic photography fun with a friend (try saying that 5 times fast!).
So even though I wasn't feeling 100% I met up with a lovely friend and headed out to the country to take some lovely pictures. It was raining pretty much all day which made getting a decent shot a bit of an achievement. Just two young women trying to wrangled a umbrella in one hand and an SLR in the other.
I find it to be simply wonderful to have a friend who enjoys photography as much as I do. It's nice to get her input in how best to capture a specific shot. We drove all the way to Somerset Dam (a large water catchment of the Brisbane region) with a few stops along the way. Here's some more of the photos I managed to capture while gallivanting around the countryside:

This next photo is of the Somerset Dam wall. Because of all the rain in the region recently the dam is the fullest it has been in a while and they have been periodically releasing water from the spillway. I wanted to try and capture it but when I got there it was only releasing a spout of water from the bottom. It still looked pretty cool though.

I'm really happy with the shots I managed to get. A day and photography adventure well spent in my opinion. Until my next post I hope your 2011 is starting off great!

Music That Moves Me
Last week's music that moves me is the Norwegian band called Monzano. There is something just beautiful about their sound. It's like the soundtrack to a beautiful daydream. This is one of those bands that I'm not sure why I like them... All I know is that I do. So there's not much to say. I'll just let you listen and make their own minds up about them.
Here's their song called 'Poster Boy':
Next why not take a look at Monzano's song called 'Cold Waters':
This next song is my favorite Monzano song. It is quite simply amazing. Unfortunately the only video I could find of it isn't the best quality but you can still get the idea. Take a look at their song called 'Know Your Velocity':
So what did you think of them? If you like what you hear make sure you take a look at their myspace page.
On another note one of my New Year's resolutions (which I have just decided to make) is to try and get my regular posts in on time. We'll see if it's doable!
Until next time take care of yourselves my dear friends.

Project 365 - Day Thirty-Seven
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY! Okay so I'm a couple of days late but it still counts. I know I was due to post on Friday but I was side-tracked. You see I woke up on the last day of 2010 with a sore throat and feeling pretty lousy. In fact I spent the whole day laying on my bed hoping to 'knock it on the head' so to speak. The only time I left the safety and comfort of my home was to visit the chemist and to pick up some glow sticks (it was New Year's after all).
So day thirty-seven's photo is of some of my New Year's fun with glow sticks:
I can't believe another year has passed. Can you? I found 2010 to be a year of mega highs and the occasional crushing low. 2010 was the year I finally made it to Europe, I got my beautiful camera, and I got to know myself better and better. Yep it's true 2010 was pretty amazing but I have a feeling 2011 will be pretty wonderful too.
How did you spend your New Year Eve? Were you tucked up in bed like me by the time 2011 rolled around or did you party the night away?
More posts coming soon. So stay tuned for more!
